Has anyone ever watched this show? If you haven't you should check it out on netflix. It's about the original vampire family. It's a really super amazing show. The original vampires basically go turning certain people and they end up fighting werewolves. There's also this girl with a hidden ability and magic power that everyone seeks after to have on their side. It's a super fun watch.

Yeah. I actually really liked that show. I was watching it out of boredom on Netflix. I think I got to the last season. I think my 3 favorites were Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. I think the show captured the back story about the source of the vampires and how fledglings are tied to the family itself. If one of the originals die, their whole bloodline goes with them.
 
So its like the first ever family of vampires in the modern day? That sounds really interesting!

They were like a viking family and their mother was a witch back in the stone ages and one of their brothers died and she didn't want anymore of her family to die. So she created an immortality spell and turned them all into the first vampires. Mother nature didn't like it. So things like sun light and the original oak tree could hurt them.

Yeah now I think I have to watch this now cause this sounds really cool. I love the canon explanation for why the sun and oak stakes hurt too.

Yep. I liked it better than the Vampire Diaries. Their witch /mother made them sunlight rings so they could be day walkers. I mean eventually in the show she regrets ever making them vampires because she created a super natural pandemic race of vampires and for every person her kids killed added to her guilt. So she tries to kill all of them later on. But to her disappointment, they turn her into a vampire too lol
 
I mean it's no twilight buuut (lol kidding I'd never compare it to trash like twilight)

I'm not a fan of the Twilight movies at all. I prefer vampire flicks like 30 Days of Night and Underworld.

Twilight was supposed to be a soft porn version of 50 Shades of Grey. Instead they turned it into a PG-13 flick for the tweens. In the books as I'm told, Edward was really abusive to Bella.
