I loved X-Files as a kid. It was the only thing that really freaked me out. Hell, just watching the intro to the show creeped me out. I recently watched the whole series again, and I still get creepy vibes from the intro.

Did you guys like this show? Was it scary when you were a kid?

I think I saw a little bit of it and it was a pretty tense show. I think my parents were more into it than I really was.

X-files was okay. I didn't care much for it in later seasons because it fell off a lot, and some of the main cast left the show. So it felt a bit pointless to have a show without one of the main characters.

I had all of the seasons and watched it for awhile. After the 5th or 6th season, I just got tired of watching the show and went to FYE and traded it for some other movies I had more of an interest in.

Oof did it just grow stale or something?

I just felt the show had a lot of flaws and It became repetitive. Like Mulder for instance. He always sounded crazy and he was always ranting and raving about UFO's and Aliens. Skully was always saving his career because everyone wanted to fire him. In fact at the beginning she was put on his case because he was acting pretty erratic. They put him in the basement at the beginning and treated him as a joke. His job was to study cold cases, which were X-Files and he was looking at being fired pretty early on in the season. But Skully always saves his job. If you're not a fan, like me, you'll get tired of it pretty quick. Not to mention there are a ton of random episodes and filler.

Yeah repition like that really doesn't do it for me honestly. I could see myself getting sick of the whole Skully thing quick if it happened to much. Does that happen like every episode?

Here and there. Every case they get, they're having to convince someone behind a desk to get support. I think eventually one of the bad guys who is their boss will send them to investigate something classified just so they get killed, swept under the rug, and it remains a cold case.

Yeah that would get pretty old pretty fast haha. And every case??

In one way or another, I was left bored and unsatisfied with a lot of the episodes. I would recommend Fringe. It's like the X-Files. But way way better.

The problem is that, The X-Files, is a 90's tv show. I think if the show had been made in the 2010's. With better and more reputable screen writers. It'd be way better.
