I never actually watched it. I think the cgi bugged me as a kid and I just never bothered to check it out because of it. It also could have been because I didn't have the channel it aired on, or it was on at a time I watched something else.
 
The cgi on it kinda wierded me out too. It was just so... different from what I was used to. I know how it feels though.
