I have already spoken about the animated sitcom in this Article and shared my thoughts & feelings on the cartoon. Today, I'm going to talk about a highly debated subject. Why is Matt Groening, the founder of cartoons such as The Simpsons and Futurama, actually a time traveler?
Alright, there's no hard evidence to say he is a time traveler, per se, there's just something odd going on, we have to agree. In their series, the Simpsons are famous for portraying situations that mimic real-world events, often before they unfold in the present. I will talk to you through three of my favorite examples.
1. Series Title: The Coronavirus and Murder Hornets (Season 4, Episode 21)

Back in 1993, the creators somehow appeared to foresee the unfortunate circumstances of 2020. The "Marge in Chains" episode shows inhabitants of Springfield going crazy over a highly pathogenic Asian epidemic called Osaka Flu. The world health organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic on the 11th of March 2020. It's definitely a coincidence that they guessed when the next biological disaster would be...

2. Series Title: Donald Trump Becomes President (Season 11, Episode 17)
When did it happen in real life? November 8, 2016

The viewers get a preview of a world in which Lisa is the President of the United States in the episode "Bart to the World." And might not you know, there was a joke on how Lisa's career is being disrupted by President Trump's budget problem. Which seemed like a stupid and absurd idea at the time. We should all joke at Donald Trump becoming President of the United States. In reality, he was elected. Well. Well. Coincidence?
3. Series Title: The Simpsons - Autocorrect — Season 6, Episode 8
When did it happen in real life?

Every iPhone user has sent a message and only after realizes the message was auto-corrected. This is embarrassing, unprofessional, and a huge inconvenience. Especially because we rely on technology to live in the modern world. In an episode of "The Simpsons" that aired in 1994, bullies in school Kearny and Dolph took a memo to "beat up Martin" on a phone. That message is easily converted as "eat up Martha," an early symbolism of auto-correct issues that Smart Phones have in today's era. "The Simpsons" criticized the disappointing Newton of Apple, the ancient relative of the iPhone, which had just been launched in the 1990s, and featured poor-quality auto-correct recognition.
